J-6 FORGEWelcome to J-6 Forge. Our shop is a family run shop as I am a disabled Veteran. For me it grew from a love all things western and a desire to create with metal. For my wife it was about helping me, my 3 kids however have a lot more in than just helping. My daughter Callie is all about running the angle grinders and taking pictures of our classes and products. My son JT he is a real helper and does most of the heavy lifting. He is also instrumental as a striker. Addison the youngest is an aspiring knife maker. Right now she is learning how to move the metal and make the shapes she wants from mild steel. By the end of summer she will be working with carbon steel making real knifes. We focus on the Civil War era and Chuck Wagon related items. Our knives and horseshoe art are considered unique and worthy for collectors or as stylized decor. The J-6 Forge employs a modest crew of 2 to 4 depending on the season.

Meet the FAMILY
Jay and Sang Sanders
Jay is a native Arkansan, born and raised in Fayetteville. He proudly served the last 15+ years in the US Army. Jay enjoyed his time in the service, but it eventually became time to head out on a new path. He is a family man, happily married with children. He has always enjoyed working with his hands and decided to learn blacksmithing after his term in the service. His father taught him some horseshoe art in his youth, and the appreciation of working with metal stayed with him. J-6 Forge is the offspring of these fond memories. He welcomes you to his site!

Ruby the Boss
My name is Ruby and I am 4 years old. I have been working as a service dog with Jay, my veteran, since 12/24/2016. Jay is flattering me by calling me the boss, but I am definitely his best friend. If you stop by the shop, I'd love to say hello.
